The Alfa Laval LKVF Coarse Strainer is a durable, easy-to-clean filter designed to remove coarse particles from liquid flow—safeguarding pumps, membrane filtration systems, and other sensitive equipment from damage. Ideal for applications in the dairy, food, beverage, and brewery industries, it supports particle removal from 0.039 to 0.118 inches, helping maintain system integrity and reduce downtime.
Designed for reliability, the LKVF Coarse Strainer from Alfa Laval features a housing with an inlet and outlet. Inside, a perforated tube welded to a flange with a handle forms the filter element. This flange fits securely to a ferrule on the casing and is clamped in place, making installation and maintenance straightforward.
In typical operation, liquid enters through inlet (A), with coarse particles collected inside the filter element for easy cleaning—especially when installed horizontally or with the handle pointing downward. The filtered liquid exits through side outlet (B). Alternatively, flow can be reversed, entering through side connection (B) and exiting via outlet (A), with a maximum product pressure of 101.5 PSI. The robust design of the perforated tube ensures performance in both directions.
