The Venair Vena® SIL 650/V silicone hose, available from Harco Enterprises, is perfect for transporting liquid and semi-liquid fluids in the food, cosmetic, chemical, pharmaceutical, and biotech industries. Its versatile design provides a balance of strength and lightness, ensuring easy handling and a wide range of applications.
Ideal for situations requiring a smaller bending radius, this highly flexible FDA and USP VI platinum-cured silicone hose, reinforced with stainless steel wire and polyester fabric, can safely transport liquid, semi-liquid, or solid products at high temperatures under impulsion or suction, while resisting pressure or vacuum. Venair’s VENA® SIL 650/V silicone hose, with its high flexibility and tight bending radius, is suitable for repetitive movements in dosing and filling machines and is specially designed to absorb vibrations and compensate for level differences.
Key Properties of the VENA® SIL 650/V
- Odorless, tasteless, and completely non-toxic
- Translucent, smooth inner appearance; white or colored smooth outer surface
- Can be equipped with 316L stainless steel fittings on each end (<0.8 µm roughness, 0.5 µm on request)
- Operational temperature range: -60ºC (-75ºF) to +180ºC (356ºF), short-term up to +200ºC (392ºF)
- Standard lengths: 4 m (13.12 ft.), select diameters up to 6 m (19.69 ft.) can be manufactured
- Vacuum resistance: 0.91 Bar (13.23 psi)
Limitations
- Follow specified bending radius and working pressure
- Ensure chemical compatibility with silicone
- Not suitable for transporting abrasive particles
