Polyester braided silicone hose for high-pressure food and pharma applications

The Venair VENA® TECHNOSIL silicone hose, available from Harco Enterprises, is perfect for transporting liquid and semi-liquid fluids in the food, cosmetic, chemical, and pharmaceutical industries. Its design provides a balance of strength and lightness, offering a broad range of applications while remaining easy to handle. A translucent construction also allows the product inside the hose to be visible during the process, making it well-suited for high-pressure applications.

Venair’s Vena® Technosil silicone hose is a polyester braided silicone tubing designed for use in high-pressure environments due to its exceptional resistance. This extruded FDA and USP VI platinum-cured silicone hose, reinforced with a polyester braid, is ideal for food and pharmaceutical processing.

Key Properties of the VENA® TECHNOSIL

• Odorless, tasteless and completely non-toxic
• Translucent, smooth inner and outer appearance, optional colored outer layer
• Can be equipped with 316L stainless steel fittings on each end (<0.8 µm roughness, 0.5 µm on request)
• Operational temperature range: -60ºC (-75ºF) to +180ºC (356ºF), short-term up to 200ºC (392ºF)
• Standard length: 10 m (32.81 ft.), other lengths available upon request

Limitations

• Follow specified bending radius and working pressure
• Ensure chemical compatibility with silicone
• Not for operation under negative pressure
• Not recommended for transporting abrasive particles
