Harco provides the Alfa Laval HL8 WideGap gasketed plate heat exchanger, designed specifically for hygienic processing of viscous liquids and fluids containing fibres and particles in food, dairy, and beverage applications.
Engineered for demanding hygienic applications, the Alfa Laval HL8 WideGap plate design features wide channel spacing, open flow patterns, and specially designed ports that allow fibre- and particle-rich fluids to pass easily through the heat exchanger. In addition, configurable channel gaps enable process optimization based on fluid characteristics. Direct product-to-product heat exchange eliminates the need for an intermediate water loop, significantly improving heat transfer efficiency and enabling increased heat recovery.
